  7. Click on the Lazy repository on the Install from zip file window to install the repository on the Kodi app.

  8. Then, click on the -=ZIPS=- option on the next window to select the file source as zip files. Note: If the -=ZIPS=- option is not available, click on the –ZIPS- option on the window.   9. On the next window, click on the KODIBAE.zip file on the screen to install the Kodi Bae repository and wait till the installation process is complete. Note: The Kodi Bae Repository Add-ons installed notification message will display on the screen after the repository is installed.

  10. Click the Install from repository option on the same screen.   11. Click on the Kodi Bae Repository to proceed.

  1. Then, click on the Video add-ons option on the next screen.

  2. Click on the Exodus 6.0.0 add-on in the list.

  3. Finally, click on the Install button on the next screen and you will see the Add-on installed message after the add-on is installed.

Method 7: Register API Key

An unregistered or banned API Key or the Application Programming Interface key may cause Kodi search error. To fix this error, you can register the API Key and modify the program file.

  1. Press the Windows key, type Google Chrome and click on Open.

  2. Open the official website of the SIMKL and click on the JOIN SIMKL FOR FREE button.

  3. Here, choose any one option to Sign in to SIMKL. Note: You can alternatively sign in to your existing account using the sign-in credentials.

  4. Register a new application on the official website of the SIMKL New Application page.

  5. Provide a unique name to your account on the field and type the following on the URI field.

  6. Click on the Save App option and you will see a screen with the Client ID and Secret Code on the Dashboard. Note 1: Select the FTP address on the screen and press the Ctrl + C keys simultaneously to copy the FTP address. Note 2: Also, note the Client ID and Secret Code on the screen. The following steps will help you in altering the API Key programming file corresponding to the Kodi add-on.

  7. Press the Windows+ E keys simultaneously to launch the Windows Explorer and double-click on the address bar at the top.

  8. Now, hit the Ctrl + V keys together to paste the FTP address on the address bar on the Windows Explorer.

  9. Next, navigate to the Android > data > org.xmbc.kodi > files > addons > plugin.video.exodus > resources > lib > modules folder.

  10. Select the simkl.py file on the list and press the Ctrl + C keys simultaneously to copy the file. Note: You need to copy the simkl.py file and not the simkl.pyo file.

  11. Press the Windows + D keys together to go to the Desktop and then hit the Ctrl + V keys simultaneously to paste the file.

  12. Select the simkl.py file, right-click on the file, move your cursor to the Open with option on the list, and click on the Notepad option on the adjacent menu.

  13. On the Notepad file, click on the V2_API_KEY and the CLIENT_SECRET entries and replace the values in the “ ” with the Client ID and the Secret Code respectively.

  14. Press the Ctrl+ S keys together to save the Notepad file, then close it.

  15. Select the edited simkl.py file on the Desktop, press the Ctrl+ X keys together to cut the file, and paste it to the modules folder on the location path.
